Seastar Kennel has been breeding tollers for over 20 years. We are family with kennel founder, Jane Folkman, and worked along side with her for the past decade, under her mentorship. In 2023 and in accordance with Jane's wishes, Laurie Warden (her sister) and Ashley Smith (her sister in spirit), now represent and keep Seastar's legacy alive. We share Jane's vision for our program, along with the same passion and love of tollers.

We breed on a limited basis and strive for temperament, type and health.

We are not a large kennel and we do not place our retired tollers.  Our dogs stay with us for as long as we are lucky enough to have them.

Therefore, we work with select, local
co-owners, through strong mentorship and partnership, to keep the Seastar breeding program going.

Seastar is recognized by the AKC as a Breeder of Merit.  Requirements are:
  • Has a history of at least 5 years involvement with AKC events.
  • Earned AKC Conformation, Performance or Companion event titles on a minimum of 4 dogs from AKC litters they bred/co-bred.
